How it all began
As for many other cancer patients, the heavy therapies took their toll on Lies’ skin.
While sick, Lies struggled with finding the right skincare for a skin that’s in active therapy. In her quest for comfort and skincare during a challenging time, she embarked on a mission to develop a range of skincare products specially tailored to the unique needs of oncology patients.
Why we do what we do
No one wants to be in the target audience for this product and most don’t expect to. But when that moment comes, one thing is certain, emotions will run high both for the patient and their loved ones. However, after this initial wave of emotion, the time for sadness will be replaced with the time for getting on with it. We are forced to move into the practicalities of the treatment.
This will be a period of time characterised by a loss of bodily autonomy, but MOKSI provides patients with a way to retain control over their skincare choices.
What makes Moksi special?
As a result of treatment, skin cells, fibroblasts and stem stells can suffer significant damage, resulting in dry, flaky, itchy or inflamed skin with a weakened barrier and loss of elasticity. Moksi products contain the necessary moisturising building blocks to restore naturally occurring skin lipids.
